Orson Wells filmed “Othello” here, making the Portuguese ramparts famous in its opening scene. Other sites worth the look are: The women’s cooperative where Argan nuts are processed by hand into one of the most versatile oils, delicious in cooking and salads and a soothing treat for the skin.
Freshly caught fish is on the menu every day for visitors to the port. Surfing opportunities and sunbathing on the beach make Essaouira the ideal spot for beach lovers who have the time to take advantage of what this Beautiful jewel of Morocco has to offer.
