Asilah
A peaceful beach town on the North Atlantic coast of Morocco, Asilah is a tranquil and beautiful destination offering a refuge from the nearby bustling cities of Tangier and Tetouan. Asilah features deserted, quiet beaches and a relaxing atmosphere. The town has Mediterranean-influenced buildings, including whitewashed houses with blue accents on walls and doors.
Asilah hosts an art festival every summer in August where artists cover the walls with fantastic murals. One can spend a full day walking around the medina looking at these beautiful paintings. In 1989 the town won an Aga Khan Award for its rehabilitation efforts. Asilah is a relaxed place to be and well worth a stop on your Morocco journey,
